Before you even enter the main complex of Hechai 1972, the outer walls along the street are already covered in bold graffiti and murals, turning the entire approach into an open-air art gallery. Massive portraits, abstract splashes, cartoon-style characters — every wall is different and continuously changing as local artists repaint over time.

It’s one of those places where you stop walking every 10 meters just to take another photo. No gates, no tickets — just raw, unfiltered street expression in the middle of Hefei.
