"Hida no Sato" in Hida Takayama is an open-air museum with a row of traditional gassho-style houses. The winter illumination is especially recommended!
Like the illuminations in Shirakawa-go, no reservation is required, so you can just drop in and enjoy it on the spot. 🌟
At night, the gassho-style houses are enveloped in soft lights, creating a fantastical landscape that makes you feel as if you've wandered into a picture book. ◎
The beauty will warm your heart even in the cold winter. The snow-covered scenery becomes even more attractive with the lights on✨

⚠️ Things to be aware of from our experience
There's no food on sale + the shops in Takayama close early!
We returned to the city at 8pm and were pretty lost! It's a good idea to eat before you go or make a reservation at a place that's open late!
If you go to Takayama, be sure to check out the points and enjoy a fantastic night at "Hida no Sato"✨
