When you think of cherry blossom viewing in Kansai or even Japan, Kyoto is likely the first place that comes to mind. But Japan is filled with cherry blossoms nationwide, and the Kansai region has many other great spots like Osaka Castle, Kobe Suma, and Mount Yoshino. This time, I want to recommend Himeji Castle, located not far from Kobe, which is also famous for its cherry blossoms.

Why Himeji Castle?
Scenic Views: The most stunning view is of Himeji Castle framed by cherry blossoms. It’s one of Japan's most iconic spots for photography. 🏯🌸
Easy Access: Take the JR Kobe Line rapid train west, and get off at Himeji Station. From there, you’ll be able to walk to Himeji Castle’s main tower. 🌆
Quiet Beauty: Compared to Kyoto and Osaka, the crowds here are fewer, making it perfect for peaceful cherry blossom viewing. You can stroll around the castle park, capturing stunning shots of blooming cherry trees and their reflections in the moat. 🏞️
Himeji Castle, known as Japan’s "First Castle" and a World Heritage Site, stands out with its beautiful and well-preserved structure. Unlike other castles, it's one of the few that has remained intact throughout history, making it extra special for visitors. 🏰
