🏯 "A white egret spreads its wings, reflecting the city for eternity."

#September2025
🌸 Himeji Castle, located in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, is considered one of Japan's most beautiful castles, a World Cultural Heritage site, and a National Treasure. Its snow-white walls, resembling the wings of an egret, earn it the nickname "White Egret Castle." Built in the 14th century, it survived the Warring States and Edo periods, remaining intact and considered the pinnacle of Japanese wooden castle architecture. The castle comprises a five-story, seven-tiered main keep and several smaller towers. Its intricate walls and maze-like passageways showcase the ingenuity of ancient fortification. In spring, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, Himeji Castle becomes even more romantic, interwoven with the vibrant pink blossoms into a poetic spectacle. From the castle tower, one can overlook Himeji City and the Harima Plains beyond, experiencing a magnificent blend of history and nature.
