[Hiroshima] Hiroshima Castle Cherry Blossom Festival

🏯Hiroshima Castle
📍Hiroshima, Hiroshima City (10 minutes walk from Prefectural Office Station)

Hiroshima Castle is also known as "Rijyo (Carp Castle)".
The castle tower was destroyed by the atomic bomb in 1945, but was rebuilt beautifully and is now a popular spot where you can feel the history of Hiroshima.✨️

There is a moat around the castle, making it perfect for a walk.🚶♀️
You can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in autumn!
This time, I went when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.🌸

Inside the castle tower, there are plenty of exhibits where you can learn more about the origins of Hiroshima during the Sengoku period and Lord Mori Terumoto.
There are models, weapons, and kimono experiences, so it was fun for both adults and children.🙆♀️

From the high ground, you can see the whole cityscape of Hiroshima, and you can lose track of time while looking at it.👀
It was a time to quietly experience history in a calm atmosphere.☺️

✔The grounds are very spacious and there are benches so you can relax.
There is also Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine nearby, so it is recommended to visit both.
