During my 7-day Vietnam trip, I spent one beautiful day exploring District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City — all on my own! 💫 Took a $50 round-trip bus from Phnom Penh, which was super convenient and surprisingly comfortable 🚌🌿
I loved how everything was so close — most places within walking distance, and just a short taxi ride when needed 🚶♀️🚕
🛍️ 1️⃣ Ben Thanh Market
Started the morning at this lively market — full of energy, colors, and the sounds of local life! From souvenirs to street snacks, it’s a must-visit spot to feel the real Saigon vibe 🎒🍜
💛 2️⃣ Saigon Central Post Office
Next stop, the iconic yellow landmark with its French-style charm and stunning interior. A true classic — every detail tells a story of the city’s past and elegance 📮✨
📚 3️⃣ Book Street (Đường Sách Sài Gòn)
Right beside the post office — a peaceful lane lined with bookshops and cafés. Perfect for a little quiet moment and some cute photo spots 📖☕
⛪ 4️⃣ Notre Dame Cathedral
Still under renovation, but I couldn’t skip it! Even behind scaffolding, it stands gracefully and remains one of Saigon’s most beloved icons 🏗️💒
☀️ By noon, I wrapped up my morning stroll and went back for a little rest before the afternoon adventure 🌿💤
🌸 5️⃣ Afternoon at the Pink Church (Tan Dinh Church)
Left around 3:00 PM to see this dreamy pink church — it’s even more stunning in real life! The pastel tone and Gothic details make it picture-perfect 💕📸
🌆 6️⃣ Evening at Saigon City Hall
The golden glow, classic architecture, and vibrant atmosphere were absolutely magical 🌇💛
🚌 7️⃣ City Bus Night Tour
Ended the day with a 45-minute city bus tour, cruising through Ho Chi Minh’s glittering night streets ✨ The skyline views, bright lights, and city energy were the perfect way to wrap up my one-day self-exploration 💫
It was such a fulfilling day — full of charm, color, and local life. Sometimes the best way to discover a city is simply to wander and let it surprise you 💕
