August Flower blossom in Hokkiado

August in Hokkaido brings a spectacular display of late summer blooms, with vibrant fields of sunflowers taking center stage. The vast sunflower fields, especially in Hokuryu Town, create a golden sea of blossoms under the bright summer sky. Sunflowers are not the only stars of August, as lilies, dahlias, and cosmos also bloom across the island, adding pops of color to the landscape.

Lavender fields, though past their peak, still offer a lingering purple hue, especially in higher altitudes, while the summer’s end brings an array of wildflowers carpeting Hokkaido’s parks and countryside.
