Made a reservation a month in advance and it was worth the wait~
After viewing the million-dollar night view from Mount Hakodate and the Christmas lights, it was just in time for our reservation. They hold the reservation for 15 minutes only.
The service was exceptional, with each customer having a private room. The combination of tatami and chairs was very comfortable.
This meal made me realize that Kaiseki cuisine is indeed delicious. It’s just that the Kaiseki at Kaiboro wasn't to my taste~ (The blogger prefers meat over raw fish, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong~)
We ordered two pots of sake. When we arrived and it was cold, we ordered hot Motonoe special pure rice sake. After warming up, we ordered a pot of cold pure rice Daiginjo Kyobo. The staff mentioned that the small sake cups were made of bells. The Daiginjo was truly sweet and delicious. Sake paired with Kaiseki is a perfect match!!
Although Hakodate is a bit boring, this meal was really great. Now off to the long-awaited Aomoriya 🍎!!!!
