Hong Kong Restaurant Review: Mr. Steak Buffet à la minute in Causeway Bay

Tonight, I visited Mr. Steak Buffet à la minute in Causeway Bay for a buffet dinner! The restaurant features floor-to-ceiling glass windows, allowing diners to enjoy the stunning Victoria Harbor night view while savoring their meal. The spacious venue adds to the comfort of the dining experience.

The buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, with seafood being the highlight: lobsters, clams, jade snails, and king crabs are piled high like small mountains. There's also freshly sliced bluefin tuna, sashimi, and freshly shucked oysters, ensuring top-notch freshness. Just indulging in the seafood alone makes the meal worth it.

After seafood, it's time for meat! The must-try is the Saga Wagyu teppanyaki, freshly sliced and grilled with garlic chips and green onions, delivering an irresistible aroma. The grilled U.S. beef is tender and juicy, with rich marbling similar to Wagyu. The birch pork sukiyaki is surprisingly sweet and flavorful, showcasing the unique taste of pork.

The buffet also offers a variety of cold and hot dishes, including Western, Chinese, and Southeast Asian cuisines.

For dessert, there’s an assortment of cakes, with unique options like tofu pudding and fresh milk rolls. The highlight, however, is the molten chocolate cake, where diners can write their blessings for the chef to decorate the plate—a thoughtful touch.

Red and white wines are available for unlimited refills, perfectly complementing the seafood and meat dishes.

At just over HK$400 for a Sunday night, the value for money is unbeatable, which explains why the restaurant is always packed.
