The Kowloon Walled City Park: A Hidden Gem

The Kowloon Walled City Park, designed in the style of a traditional Jiangnan Chinese garden, stands where the original walled city once existed. While the walled city has long been demolished, remnants near the South Gate remain as historical relics. This park is a picturesque spot, perfect for photography, with diverse scenery. Many bloggers capture themselves in two-thirds of their photos here. Covering a large area, it is considered Hong Kong's third-largest park, and entry is free.
Visiting during off-peak hours ensures a less crowded experience. Most visitors are migrant workers enjoying their day off, while others, like bloggers, are tourists exploring the area. A thorough walk-through of the park takes about an hour.
🚗 Transportation: Take the MTR to Sung Wong Toi Station and exit at B3. The park is within walking distance. Since the park is in the opposite direction of the Sung Wong Toi memorial stone, I didn’t make a detour to visit it.
