One of the Hong Kong trips that felt just “right” was stopping by to pay respects to the Goddess Tin Hau at Yaumatei Tin Hau Temple. This temple is located right in the middle of the city area, but once you step inside, it feels like time stops. Everything is quiet, peaceful, and you can immediately sense a certain energy.

We went to worship the Goddess Tin Hau with faith and took a light chance with the fortune sticks. It turned out… when we returned to Thailand, we actually won a prize unexpectedly. It’s a feeling like… no matter what, we definitely have to come back again.

For anyone strolling around Yau Ma Tei and wanting a place to pray for blessings, find peace of mind, or just spend some quiet time with yourself, this temple is highly recommended. Both the atmosphere and the good energy can be felt from the very first step inside.
