Daruma-themed Restaurant in Japan

In traditional Japanese culture, Daruma is not just a cute decoration but a mascot carrying deep history and meaning. Daruma-themed restaurants are really rare in Hong Kong, and here you can find a Daruma altar and a photo wall for you to take memorable pictures. There are also games to draw Daruma or win discounts, with chances to win plane tickets to Japan! At the entrance, there is even Daruma paper for writing wishes to hang on the door, hoping your dreams come true. It’s truly special and is Hong Kong’s first recommended Japanese-style birthday blessing writing service.

Besides the Japanese-style decor, the Daruma-themed Japanese restaurant cooks all rice using "bonito kelp broth," making it unique. Moreover, the restaurant is led by a Michelin-starred chef who previously worked at a Michelin restaurant, so the food quality is absolutely guaranteed.

This time, my younger brother and I ordered some of the restaurant’s signature dishes and drinks:

🌟 Daruma Beef🥩 Platter
This Daruma rock salt grill box is full of surprises. The selection changes weekly, including Kagoshima black pork, meat, Australian M5 Wagyu sirloin, slow-cooked Wagyu tongue core, and the most expensive Kagoshima A4 Wagyu ribeye. To keep the mystery, customers don’t know which meat they will get when ordering. The cooking method is special: the meat is grilled directly on a thick pink rock salt slab, which enhances the flavor with its salty taste. This time, we had the Kagoshima A4 Wagyu ribeye, which was juicy and flavorful after searing, needing no extra seasoning. Not only is it very eye-catching for photos, but grilling on the rock salt slab is also fun.

🍸 Sweet Lychee Soda
Sweet and refreshing, perfect for hot summer days, and the color is beautiful.

🌟 Daruma Tempura Bowl🦞
The Daruma tempura bowl is a must-try series featuring Ran-Oh eggs. The whole Australian lobster is very eye-catching, with fresh and bouncy meat, combined with seared scallops and crab meat. The ingredients are generous and rich. The rice is cooked with bonito kelp broth, making it more flavorful. Mixed with the top-grade Japanese Ran-Oh egg, it’s even creamier and smoother.
