I've always loved eating Shanghai food because Shanghai cuisine is really delicious. This time, I went to Tian Shui Wai with friends, and there are some pretty good Shanghai dishes here. A friend recommended two types of noodles. The first is Huadiao Drunken Chicken Noodles. Huadiao drunken chicken has always been one of my favorite dishes because you can really taste the rich Shaoxing wine flavor—very strong and tasty. The drunken chicken flavor is indeed excellent, and the broth is not the usual light and clear soup; it’s very rich and flavorful. The chef definitely put in some effort, and I think it’s done quite well. 😀
My friend also highly recommended the Pork Rib Dan Dan Noodles. He said the broth here is quite tasty, a bit spicy and very flavorful. The Shanghai-style pork ribs are fried to a nice crisp, which is the texture he really likes. I tried a piece and thought it was pretty good. Additionally, we ordered two kinds of snacks: one was Shanghai soup dumplings. The dumpling skins were thin, and the filling was generous. The Shanghai potstickers were fragrant and crispy. After eating one, I couldn’t resist having a second. We also had two bottles of black soybean milk, which made us feel very full. 😊
