♥️ It’s my boyfriend’s birthday month. Since we both love good food,
this month we’re definitely going to try different restaurants and various cuisines.
Today we went to Sha Tin and visited The Banquet Hall at Dorsett Hotel
to try their Singapore-themed buffet.
.
The buffet offers a wide variety of dishes,
including lobster, foie gras, oysters, king crab legs, wagyu sashimi—everything you can imagine.
They even have more than 10 kinds of desserts.
Around $4xx per person, great value for money.
.
✨ Lobster
The meat is springy and tender. Of all the buffets I’ve tried, this lobster has the most roe and is the freshest and sweetest—definitely the best lobster buffet I’ve ever had.
.
✨ King crab legs
Fresh and sweet, each leg is large and packed with meat. The texture is not watery at all.
.
✨ Oysters
Freshly shucked on the spot. You can see long queues every time, which shows how attractive they are.
Even better with sauce. We ate 16 oysters in total (if we weren’t trying other dishes, I’m sure we could have kept going).
.
✨ Foie gras toast
Melts in your mouth, delicate texture, rich flavor.
We ate 6 pieces, each bite filled with happiness.
.
✨ Saga wagyu
Teppanyaki cooked on the spot, melts in your mouth with a strong beef flavor. We couldn’t resist and queued twice.
.
✨ Slow-roasted salted koji Saga A4 wagyu
The fat aroma is intoxicating, with clear meat grain.
A must-try—I had three rounds.
.
✨ Wagyu cheeseburger
Shared one piece, good texture, worth trying.
.
✨ Sashimi
Red shrimp and salmon are must-eats.
Each piece is large and very fresh; scallops are sweet and fresh.
.
✨ Plating service
You can write a note to the staff or write blessings for friends.
Paired with the dessert molten lava cake, which is also hotel-level quality.
.
✨ There’s also red wine, white wine, and sparkling wine on site.
Free flow house wine is decent and stands out
(My boyfriend is already in a state where just drinking covers the cost) 😂
.
✨ Hot food area
Since it’s a Singapore-themed buffet,
Bak kut teh is a must-try. The herbal flavor of angelica and goji berries is strong,
combined with the freshness of the meat, the soup is very tasty. This bak kut teh is quite authentic.
.
✨ Pepper crab
Also a famous Singapore dish.
Strong black pepper flavor, fresh ingredients.
(Can compete with local typhoon shelter-style stir-fried crab)
.
✨ Goji berry chicken soup
After eating so much cold food, a bowl of soup warms the stomach.
I originally thought the soup would just be a side dish,
but it turned out to be quite delicious.
We took one bowl to share; my boyfriend thought it wasn’t enough and took another bowl to drink alone.
.
✨ There are also various salads, snacks, and cheeses on site,
plenty of choices.
.
✨ As for desserts, they are definitely hotel-level quality.
Nearly 10 kinds of desserts neatly arranged,
super eye-catching and absolutely adorable.
Must-try: Eton mess, tiramisu, banana toffee pie, cherry compote,
6 kinds of ice cream. The buffet has so many options,
I couldn’t finish everything, just tried a little bit of each.
