🏮 "Pleasant Night Moon Blue" theme sea of lights — the community is full of warmth
From September 16 to October 20, 2025, the Blue House complex transforms into a fantastic sea of lights, with more than 700 hand-painted lanterns* hanging high around Stonewater Street.
- Lighting location: The exterior walls of the blue house, railings, floor doors and other places are covered with floral lanterns.
- Lighting hours: Daily from 6pm to 9.30pm, free to the public.
- Photo hotspot: There are also many illustrated characters in the sea of lights, such as Chiikawa, Jade Rabbit, etc., perfect for those of you who like to take pictures!
🐰 Giant Jade Rabbit Art Installation — a fusion of creativity and tradition
For the first time this year, a 2-meter-tall Jade Rabbit handmade installation jointly produced by neighbors was added and placed in the open space of the Blue House, becoming one of the focal photo spots.
- The cute jade rabbit is shaped, combining traditional Mid-Autumn elements with modern art style. Many people come here to take pictures.
- There are also art vignettes: such as hand-painted corner mirrors and community story walls for you to discover.
📸 Photography competition + pet category
If you like taking pictures, you can also participate in the Blue House Lantern Photography and Short Film Competition. This year, there is a pet category where you can bring your pet to participate and record the warmest Mid-Autumn moments.
The Blue House is more than a historic building, it’s a microcosm of the community’s culture. This lighting event is not only beautiful, but also very meaningful. If you haven't been there yet, you really need to take the opportunity to feel the charm of Hong Kong's authentic festivals!
