Blue House, located at 72-74A Stone Nullah Lane, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, is a four-story Tong Lau built in the 1920s, famous for its vibrant blue exterior. Together with the adjacent Yellow House and Orange House, it forms a colorful Blue House building cluster. It is about a 5-minute walk from Wan Chai MTR Station Exit A3.
This Grade I historic building features Lingnan architectural style with a rare balcony design and won the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Culture Heritage Conservation in 2017. Blue House preserves residents' lives through a "Live in the House" revitalization model. The Hong Kong Story House is located on the ground floor, exhibiting old Hong Kong artifacts with free admission (open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM).
Blue House is a popular IG photo spot, especially during the Mid-Autumn Festival when hand-painted lanterns are hung (lit from September 6 to 10). The night lighting against the blue walls creates a romantic atmosphere. Recommended shooting angles: capture the full view from across Stone Nullah Lane or shoot balcony details by the railing.
