🇭🇰🚢 Gulangyu First Cruise Experience (Includes Daily Activities)

I took a cruise to Miyakojima, departing from Hong Kong. I'd like to share some of the food, drinks, and accommodations on the cruise. It was my first experience and I thought it was quite relaxing and comfortable, especially perfect for taking the kids or the elderly. 🧓👵

Food: 🍽️ There's one free buffet restaurant and two formal dining options. I personally liked the Peninsula and Oriental restaurants, which offer a wide variety of dishes. Since the free restaurants were more than enough for us, we skipped the paid options.

Drinks: The restaurant offers brewed milk, juice, tea, and freshly ground American coffee. ☕️ They also have access to purified water. However, the water in your room isn't very good, so I recommend bringing some bottled water. Alcohol and soft drinks are at your own expense. 🍷🍸

Play: The Star Travel Daily is packed with activities, so you can choose freely. You can also go to the gym, play basketball, or swim. 🧒 Childcare is available, but it was full after 20 people. There's also a small children's playground suitable for children under 4.

Accommodation: The superior ocean view room has a large square window. The room is small but well-planned. The only minor drawback is that when the beds are pushed together, there's a gap in the middle and the edges are a bit hard, making sleeping in the middle uncomfortable. 🛏️

On the island: Since we were traveling with elderly and children, we opted for a tour group, but I personally felt it wasn't worth it. The attractions were limited, and the return time was early. I'll opt for independent travel next time.

Overall, it was a great trip. Traveling with the whole family can be quite stressful, but the cruise ship made it easy. I highly recommend it to parents looking to travel the world.
