Spanish and Mediterranean tapas restaurant near Hua Hin Market

This Cool Breeze Cafe Bar is located in Soi Kanchanomai, near the intersection with Nares Damri Road. This restaurant serves Spanish and other Mediterranean food in small tapas dishes and dips that are great for snacking with drinks. The restaurant has a Happy Hour promotion: order 3 tapas dishes and pay for only 2 (the free dish is the cheapest dish) from 12:00 to 19:00. We went in the late afternoon, so we decided to give it a try.

➡️ Gambas Al Ajilio

Plump shrimp in a light white wine and garlic sauce with a little spice. We liked that the shrimp were fresh and bouncy, as expected from a place near the sea. However, we would have liked the flavor to be a bit stronger.

➡️ Chipirones A La Plancha

Soft and chewy baby squids stir-fried with herbs and served with lemon. This dish is very delicious.

➡️ Asparagus Under Wraps

This dish is wrapped in asparagus with cheese and Spanish Serrano ham, served with vegetable salad.

➡️ Albondigas

This dish is meatballs with tomato-based sauce. It is delicious and well-seasoned. It goes well with the free bread provided by the restaurant.

➡️ Spicy Sauteed Chorizo

A slightly spicy chorizo sausage fried in olive oil and red wine. It tastes good, but I like it fried until the sausage skin is crispy and fragrant, with a slightly more burnt edge.

➡️ Tzatziki

Cucumber yogurt dip served with soft pita bread. It is a refreshing menu that goes well with other dishes.

For drinks, since we are eating Spanish tapas, I decided to try Sangria. It was quite enjoyable.

Although this restaurant is not by the sea, it has both indoor and outdoor seating at the back. Including outdoor seating on the 2nd floor of the building, making it look airy and open to the sea breeze, true to the name of the shop. There are pictures that convey the Mediterranean coastline all around, making the atmosphere inviting to come and chill.
