First time visiting Manzhouli, just follow this guide directly

💡 Must-read before traveling!

• Documents: ID card is a must, student ID/senior ID can get ticket discounts (strict checks at the National Gate Scenic Area).

• Clothing: Bring a light jacket even in summer! Temperature difference of 15℃+ between day and night, short sleeves + sun protection clothing during the day, sweatshirt + long pants at night, sunglasses and high SPF sunscreen are a must on your face!

• Medicine: Gastrointestinal medicine (eating too much beef and mutton can cause heatiness), motion sickness patches (bumpy grassland roads), lip balm (dry climate).

• Transportation: Flying directly to Xijiao Airport is most convenient, taxi starts at 10 yuan in the city, car rental recommended between attractions (drivers will guide you).

📸 5 must-visit spots!

1. Matryoshka Doll Square (free to take photos outside)
Colorful castle + giant Matryoshka doll sculptures, like stepping into a fairy tale picture book! The light show at night is super dreamy, remember to wear light-colored clothes for better photos~

2. Matryoshka Doll Hotel (free to visit)
The world's largest Matryoshka doll building! Golden dome + interior oil painting decorations, every photo looks like a European palace, main building rooms are a bit pricey but worth the experience.

3. Manzhouli National Gate (40 yuan ticket)
Climb the observation tower to see the scenery of China, Russia, and Mongolia all at once! The railway extends from under your feet to Russia, boosting national pride!

4. Mammoth Park (free)
1:1 mammoth sculpture group + Russian-style castle, the lake reflections are stunning! Best to visit in the morning when it's less crowded and beautiful; kids can feed pigeons.

5. Beihu Park Night View
Take a walk at dusk during the blue hour, European-style buildings light up, feeling like you’ve traveled to Moscow! Drones are banned, but you can still capture atmospheric shots with your phone.

🍽️ Local food recommendations!

• Dalieba: Milk skin Dalieba is like pineapple buns, 6 yuan each; caramel nut Dalieba is packed with ingredients, perfect for breakfast with milk tea.

• Russian cuisine: The Queen’s salad at Ruble is a must-try, Katusha’s stewed beef in a pot is cost-effective, expect to spend 80+ yuan per person and eat to fullness.

• Mongolian milk tea: Salty and rich, with fried rice and milk skin, the “energy bomb” of grassland breakfasts!

⚠️ Notes!

• Do not photograph military facilities in border areas, drones are banned at the National Gate/border defense roads.

• For souvenirs, go to Dashan Su Russian Store, buy chocolates and milk powder without hesitation, heavy items can be shipped (shipping cost on you).

• Choose a regular horse ranch for grassland horseback riding, wear long pants to prevent chafing, light-colored clothes get dirty easily.

• Book accommodation early in peak season, near Sino-Soviet Golden Street is most convenient, walking distance to night market and supermarket.

✨ Tips
If you have extra time, add a day trip to Hulun Lake (fewer people and beautiful golden coast), or join a grassland crossing tour to experience milking cows and feeding reindeer! Manzhouli’s fairy tale vibe and border charm are really worth a visit. Save this guide and travel without worries~ 👇
