Banff is relatively easy to get to (especially from Calgary), has lots of visitor facilities: lodges, restaurants, guided tours, transit around the park/town.
The town of Banff is walkable and charming, with shops, local food, galleries and scenic views from almost everywhere.

Iconic Landmarks & Photo Spots
Sulphur Mountain & the Banff Gondola for panoramic mountain views.

Lakes like Lake Louise and Moraine Lake (though some are technically in the Banff/Lake Louise area) with those postcard views. e Mountain, etc.
