Gangneung Seamarq Hotel & Sokcho Seoraksan – A Perfect Healing Journey Between the Sea and Mountains.

This trip was a journey connecting Gangneung and Sokcho, embracing both the sea and mountains.

The adventure began at Gangneung Seamarq Hotel. Facing the ocean, the moment I stepped into the room, the vast East Sea unfolded before my eyes. Lying on the bed, listening to the sound of waves, was truly healing, and the view of the ocean from the infinity pool is unforgettable. It felt as if the pool seamlessly merged with the sea.

The hotel breakfast was luxurious and delicious, making for a pleasant start to the day. Seamarq is the kind of place where you can enjoy doing absolutely nothing.

The next day, I headed to Sokcho for a hike at Seoraksan! I took the cable car for a light trek to Gwongeumseong Fortress. The scent of the forest filled the air along the way, and the rocky ridges of Seoraksan were truly majestic. The view of Sokcho city and the sea from the summit was, quite literally, breathtaking.

After descending, I enjoyed a plate of sashimi near Sokcho Port, took a leisurely stroll along the beach, and headed back.

An itinerary that allowed me to enjoy the sea, mountains, city, and nature all at once. It was a healing experience for both body and mind.
