A sleepy town with great food

We had flown into Penang and this was a long weekend. So, Ipoh became the subject of a day trip. And it was very well worth it. I have passed by Ipoh in the past but we never stopped except to grab a bit. This time i was with friends and driving so we were pretty flexible.

Firstly, if you know a local around here the trip completely changes for you. Especially the food options. There are some great eats in town. From the tourist perspective too it has enough for a day's activity. You have the old town, new town, the Heritage trail and some old Victorian structures.
