Old townscape of Itoigawa

Itoigawa City is one of the world's leading jade producing areas. The area around Itoigawa Station, the city's main station, is an area where traditional streetscapes remain. Just a few years ago, there was a tragic fire, but the buildings that escaped the disaster still adorn the city.
