Do visit this incredible site. Completed in 1734, this is an 18th-century astronomical observatory, built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and is still working.
There are numerous weird looking constructions across the site. Some tell the time to within seconds, others the position of the sun and even which phase of the zodiac signs we are in.
It is staggeringly clever. If you have the opportunity to use an official guide do so, as they can explain how it all works.
It will only take about 45mins to walk around, but well worth it. Wheelchair access is possible.
