Usu Matcharista's exterior atmosphere looks simple but charming, with light green tones and the natural scent of wood contrasting with the minimalist modern style of the shop. As soon as you open the door, the aroma of freshly ground green tea hits your nose immediately, making you feel both refreshed and calm at the same time.
I chose to sit by the window, which overlooks a small, carefully arranged garden outside. Sunlight filters through the sheer curtains, giving a perfectly warm feeling. The server brought a cup of matcha latte along with cute Japanese sweets, neatly arranged on a wooden plate. The gentle fragrance of matcha slowly unfolds as it is stirred together with the hot milk.
