Grandma Mumyungcheon’s real name was Jin Ah-young. 👵 During the Jeju 4.3 Incident, her jawbone was injured by Japanese soldiers, and she lived her entire life covering the area with a cotton cloth.
When eating with others, she would turn away to eat alone as food often spilled from her mouth. Though she didn’t interact much with people, she had a kind heart, often sharing 🌊 seaweed she collected from the ocean with 👦👧 children in the village. ❤️
The 🏠 house where she lived is preserved to honor her life and serve as a historical site.
