2. Sagye Coast
Location: Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju
Origin of the name: In 'Sagye (沙溪)', 'Sa (沙)' refers to the sand of the coast, and 'Gye (溪)' refers to the stream that flows to the east of the village. Sagye Beach has been renamed Sagye Beach, but since 'beach' gives the impression that it is a sea that is used only in the summer, the name was changed to beach in order to use the coast all year round.
