The Three Churches Complex in Jerash is a group of three ancient churches, built during the episcopate of Bishop Paul, starting with the southern church of St. George, completed in 529.
The Church of St. George is the southernmost of the three churches. The church is dedicated to St. George, the patron saint of Jerash. The church has a nave and two aisles and is decorated with beautiful mosaics and frescoes.
The Church of St. John the Baptist was consecrated in 531 and was used for religious purposes until the 8th century. The church is a three-aisled basilica with a narthex and a baptistery. The church is decorated with beautiful mosaics and frescoes, some of which are still visible today.
The Church of Saints Cosmas and Damianus is the northernmost and is a three-nave basilica with three entrance doors on the west side. The walls of the church interior were covered with painted plaster. The church is decorated with beautiful mosaics, some of which are still visible today.
