Bailuzhou Academy is a national key cultural relic protection unit. This famous academy was built in the first year of Chunyou in the Southern Song Dynasty (1241) and was founded by the patriotic Prime Minister Jiang Wanli when he was the military governor of Jizhou. Jiang Wanli was attracted by the quiet and peaceful environment of Bailuzhou and thought it was an excellent place to study and clear the mind, so he built a temple and opened an academy.

The academy is located on an oasis in the Ganjiang River east of Ji'an City (very suitable for chartering a car or driving yourself). It is named "Bailuzhou" because egrets often live on the island. The environment here is beautiful, with clear water and egrets flying among the trees. It is an ideal place to study. The location of Bailuzhou Academy not only reflects the ancient people's awe and respect for the natural environment, but also laid a solid foundation for its subsequent development.

Since Jiang Wanli founded Bailuzhou Academy, it has played a leading role as a model. Under the cultivation of the academy, Luling scholars became famous in imperial examinations, scholars formed a forest, writers formed a school, officials formed a group, writings formed a mountain, and patriots died for their country, making Luling culture prosperous for thousands of years and becoming the center of Jiangxi culture.

When you come to Bailuzhou Academy, it is very convenient to charter a car and drive yourself, because there are plenty of parking spaces. On the southwest side of Bailuyuan Community - there are parking spaces on the ground in the parking lot, which makes parking super convenient✨; it only takes 8 minutes and about 620 meters to walk to the entrance of the academy! Or you can go to the roadside parking lot on the east side of Yanjiang Road, which is also a ground parking space and has no pressure to park. It is about an 8-minute walk, about 530 meters away, to reach the academy.

As a cultural landmark in Ji'an, Jiangxi, Bailuzhou Academy is a must-visit.
