Sengan-en and Neko Shrine in Kagoshima, Japan

Sengan-en is one of Japan's World Cultural Heritage sites, established by the Shimazu clan, the feudal lords of the Satsuma Domain. This villa and traditional Japanese garden offer stunning views of Kinko Bay and the Sakurajima volcano.

Neko Shrine is located in the same area as Sengan-en. It's an adorable shrine that cat lovers shouldn't miss. This type of shrine is relatively rare in Japan and is said to commemorate the feudal lord who brought seven cats with him on his expedition. The surroundings feature various cat-shaped stone sculptures, making it a delightful spot to visit.
