In my last post, I shared about Satay Kajang 🍢 — but if you’ve got a few minutes to spare after your meal, take a short walk to Kajang Dulu-Dulu Alley (which literally means Kajang in the past). It’s just beside Medan Satay Kajang, and it’s full of local charm.
🖼️ What to See:
The walls are covered in colourful murals that tell the story of Kajang — from its famous satay heritage to a painting of Leftenan Adnan, the brave soldier from Sungai Ramal who fought against the Japanese army during World War II 🇲🇾.
📞 You’ll also spot nostalgic props like an old payphone (not sure if it works, but it’s a great OOTD spot 😆). There’s even a bus mural with portraits of local historical figures — scan the QR code near the “bus door” to learn who they are!
There’s even cute minion bollards! 🌝
🍜 Bonus Tip:
If you’re still hungry or craving something different, there’s a stall nearby selling Indonesian comfort food like bakso and ayam penyet.. perfect for your “round two.”
☀️ When to Visit:
• Daytime: Better lighting for photos and to see the mural details clearly.
• Evening: Cooler weather + soft yellow lights make the alley feel nostalgic and romantic.
🆓 Entrance is free, you just need to bring your curiosity and your camera.
✨ Whether you visit day or night, Kajang Dulu-Dulu Alley is a short but meaningful stop that captures the town’s old memories, proud history in artful ways.
Have you visited this alley before in Kajang?
