🇯🇵｜A day tour at Kamakura

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo for a day, Kamakura is definitely a good choice. Departing from Tokyo, take the subway to Shinbashi Station, transfer to the JR Yokosuka Line, and go straight to Kamakura.
Or take the subway to Shinjuku Station, transfer to the JR Tokaido Line and go straight to Fujisawa, then take the Enoshima Electric Railway to Kamakura.

Starting from Kamakura Station, head towards Fujisawa:
1. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and Komachi-dori Street at Kamakura Station
2. Kamakura Daibutsu (Great Buddha) and Hase-dera Temple at Hase Station
3. Superb coastal scenery and a photo-op with Mount Fuji at Shichirigahama Station
4. Take a photo of the railway like in "Slam Dunk" at Kamakura Koukou-mae Station
5. Enoshima Shrine, observation deck, and the new Enoshima Aquarium at Enoshima Station

Kamakura's specialty "shirasu-don" (rice topped with whitebait) is one of the must-eat dishes. Whether it's cooked or raw, it has a local flavor, with fresh whitebait on top of the rice, making it delicious and tender.
