Kanagawa Prefecture, Ofuna Kannonji Temple

Ofuna Kannon, standing on the summit of Mugaso-yama just west of Ofuna Station, is a 25m tall, reinforced concrete statue of the upper body of the Bodhisattva Kannon, completed in 1960. A 1/20th scale statue of the Bodhisattva Kannon is enshrined inside the statue.

Access: (1) Exit the south ticket gate of Ofuna Station, turn right, walk for 5 minutes from the west exit, cross the traffic light, and behind Lawson, you will see the approach to the temple on the left.

Opening hours: 9:00-16:00

Closed days: None, but closed in bad weather due to the danger of the approach

Prices: Adults: 300 yen, High school students and above, Junior high school students: 100 yen, Elementary school students: 100 yen
