
Wanquan Lake Scenic Area is located at the confluence of the Qi and Xi Rivers in southern Linzhou City. A National AAAA-level tourist attraction, it boasts the Qixi River National Wetland Park and the Shimen Springs, the largest spring complex in northern Henan Province. Numerous springs, both large and small, flow endlessly into a shimmering lake, hence the name Wanquan Lake.
Wanquan Lake boasts a vast expanse of blue waters and flowing springs, surrounded by picturesque mountains and shady trees. Pavilions and terraces are scattered throughout the lake, and small tourist trails run through it. The lake is endowed with unique wetland culture, and the Qi River culture is extensive and profound, with a rich and enduring cultural heritage.
Surrounding the area are many scenic spots and historical sites, including the Leiyin Temple, Guandi Temple, Hongquan River, Luosi Pond, and Yangtai Temple. Among them, the Leiyin Mugu, Yangtai Morning Bell, Qihe River Sunset, Shimen Spring, and Longquangou are world-famous and will make you linger.
With a warm temperate continental monsoon climate, Wanquan Lake has clear springs, vast blue waves, beautiful mountains and shady green trees, making it suitable for travel in all seasons.
Wanquan Lake Scenic Area has famous attractions such as Bi Bo Pavilion, Mu Jingchun, Yuanyang Bridge, Lingbo Plank Road, Shimen Ancient Temple, Divine Turtle Exploring the Water and Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl. The lake in the scenic area is clear and suitable for swimming and fishing. The mountain roads are winding and convenient. There are many recreational projects, such as ecological rafting, water expansion, spring bathing beach, Pinghu pleasure boat, alpine water slide, children's playground, surfing bathing beach, racecourse, pirate ship, etc. Visitors come all year round, and it has now become a shining pearl in the tourism development and construction of northern Henan.
