Katori Shrine in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture

Katori Shrine is the Ichinomiya of Shimousa Province (northern Chiba Prefecture) and the head shrine of the Katori Shrines, which number about 400 nationwide. Together with Kashima Shrine and Ikisu Shrine in Ibaraki Prefecture, it is known as one of the "Three Eastern Shrines."

It enshrines Futsunushi no Okami, the god of martial arts, who also appears in the Nihon Shoki, and is said to bring good luck in winning, traffic, and disaster prevention.

In recent years, it has also been attracting attention as one of the "Kanto region's leading power spots," and is a popular shrine that attracts many people from far away to worship.

The approach to the shrine in front of the shrine is famous for its "kusa dango" (grass dumplings), which are sold in large quantities!
It's very delicious, so please try it♩
