I recently had the opportunity to visit Nyaung Oo Phee Island, located in Myanmar's waters but easily accessible from the Thai coast of Ranong. It's a beautiful island that's still relatively unknown to Thais, offering a tranquility that feels like a private island.

We started our trip from the lighthouse pier in Ranong Province, taking just over an hour by speedboat. Upon arriving, the first thing I noticed was the incredibly clear waters. You could even see fish swimming from the boat. The sand was white, clean, and soft, making it a delightful stroll.

In the afternoon, you can relax on the beach, enjoying the gentle sea breeze and the tranquility. There are hammocks for you to lie back on. There's a cafe on the island where you can order a cool drink and enjoy sipping on it while gazing out at the sea. It feels like you've been transported to a place with no signal, no rush, just you, the sea, and the sound of the waves.
