Khlongsan is currently a bustling commercial district because it is home to famous shopping malls such as IconSiam and the Gold Line electric train passing through. Many 5-star hotels have sprung up, including condominiums priced in the millions.

But who would have thought that in the past, Khlongsan was one of the oldest historical districts on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok that still has the breath of the past left? Evidence of settlements has been found here since the Ayutthaya period. Later, during the Thonburi and early Rattanakosin periods, when the city rose to become the center of government, Khlongsan became the center of water trade, home to rice mills and large warehouses. Foreign merchants began to build houses and shops, resulting in a multicultural community, including Indians, Chinese, Laotians, and Portuguese.

Even though decades have passed, the old image of Khlongsan community still retains its classic charm. The buildings, places, and various cultural heritages, although deteriorated over time, still stand tall in the same place for the older generation to reminisce and for the new generation to learn about, in a multicultural society that perfectly blends beliefs.

Tourist attractions of Khlongsan community Including Wat Phichaiyatikararam with a mix of Thai and Chinese architecture, Phuwatil Islam Mosque or the Red Building Mosque, which is important and has historical value in terms of art and architecture, so it has been declared as an important national historical site, Wat Thong Nopkhun and Wat Thong Thammachat, ancient temples built since the Ayutthaya period, Kuan Yu Shrine, an old shrine that is over 287 years old, located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, which has a cafe called Baan Akong Ama with a nice atmosphere, where you can sit and relax to cool off, etc.

Khlongsan is also full of delicious food sources, especially Tha Din Daeng Market, which is a large and famous market.
