Yamaga City, Kumamoto. Using public transportation. How to enjoy the roadside station "Mizube Plaza Kamomoto"

It's a waste to think that you need a car to visit roadside stations.

There are roadside stations that you can enjoy even when traveling using public transportation.

One such place is Mizube Plaza Kamomoto.

This time, I took a highway bus from Fukuoka to Ueki Interchange, then a local bus from Ueki Interchange to Mizube Plaza Kamomoto.

Mizube Plaza Kamomoto is located between Yamaga City and Kikuchi City.
The only public transportation is the bus.
There may be a gap of more than an hour between the two trips, but this is a fun way to visit without worrying about the time.

What you can do at Mizube Plaza Kamomoto.

・Rental bicycles for 2 hours: 350 yen

・Rental canoes for 60 minutes: 600 yen

・Natural hot springs: 390 yen

Rental bicycles can be used to access the nearby roadside station Shichijo Melon Dome, Yamaga city, Ueki Onsen, and Kikuchi city.
There are many private baths in the area that can be used for around 1,000 yen for 60 minutes, so you can drop in and take a tour of the baths.

The "Kuri Dango" is filled with chestnuts and costs 200 yen, and the "Imo Ten, Gobo Ten" is a mountain of it and costs 450 yen.

This is a roadside station where you can enjoy seasonal local gourmet food.
