Japan's first honeymoon destination

#TravelWithMe

Kirishima Shrine is one of the most powerful spots in Kagoshima Prefecture.

Kirishima is said to be the place where Ryoma Sakamoto visited on his honeymoon, the first honeymoon in Japan.

Located in the mountains, surrounded by nature, it is quiet and solemn.

It is a wonderful, mysterious shrine with clear air and negative ions.

The sacred cedar tree is estimated to be about 800 years old and is said to be the ancestor of the cedars in southern Kyushu.

The grounds are large and there are many stairs, so it makes for some light exercise.

It is difficult to access unless you have a car, but there is a large free parking lot.

It is an hour and a half from Kagoshima and about two hours from Miyazaki, so I recommend you visit it during your drive.
