Kawachi Fujien is located deep in the mountains of Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Since being selected as one of the 31 most beautiful places in Japan by CNN in the United States, it has become one of Fukuoka's top tourist spots, attracting tourists from both within Japan and overseas.
The garden itself opened in 1977, and has been in operation for quite some time.
In an area of 3300m2, there are about 700 wisteria trees, a 110m-long wisteria trellis tunnel, and an 80m-long wisteria tunnel.
There are many famous wisteria spots in Japan, but when it comes to wisteria tunnels, Kawachi Fujien is unmatched in terms of their power and beauty.

Since the park has been plagued by overtourism, admission is now by ticket system.
You need to buy tickets in advance at a convenience store, and you cannot buy them on the day.
*There are no convenience stores around Kawachi Fuji Garden.

The entrance fee is usually 500 yen, but it varies depending on the flowering situation, and is 1500 yen per person during the peak season.
