Located in Chinatown, Nankinmachi, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture
[Ganso Kyozaen]
This is a Kobe gyoza specialty shop that was founded in 1951 and is the birthplace of miso sauce.
I heard that in Kobe, it is a culture to dip gyoza in miso sauce, so I stopped by while sightseeing in Kobe.
I ordered pan-fried gyoza and boiled gyoza.
The pan-fried gyoza had a crispy, fragrant skin and was filled with plenty of Kobe beef filling.
The boiled gyoza had a chewy skin and a simple flavor.
The miso sauce had a spiciness similar to chili bean paste and a sweetness similar to sesame paste.
The miso itself had a rich flavor, and it went well with all the gyoza.
If I had time, I would have liked to try it at other shops and compare it, but as the birthplace of miso sauce, you can't go wrong!
I would definitely recommend everyone to try it.
