Sabah, you’ve completely blown me away 💙
My journey through Kota Kinabalu and Kundasang was everything I hoped for — a mix of peaceful escapes, cultural gems, and breathtaking scenery.
🕌 The Kota Kinabalu City Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, was one of the most serene places I’ve ever visited. Reflected perfectly on the still water, it felt like the building was floating. I arrived just before sunset, and the way the golden light hit the dome was absolutely magical — definitely one of my favorite photo spots of the whole trip.
🛍️ Gaya Street Market added the perfect splash of energy and color to my journey. From local Sabah snacks (don’t skip the kuih!) to handmade crafts and souvenirs, the street was alive with the sounds of vendors, music, and laughter. I loved connecting with the local culture in such an authentic way — it’s the kind of place that reminds you travel is about people as much as places.
🌄 Then came Kundasang — and wow. The drive itself was scenic, but arriving in the cool highlands with fresh mountain air and wide, open views? A total reset. Rolling green hills, grazing cattle, and a stunning view of Mount Kinabalu made me feel like I’d stepped into a postcard. The peaceful vibe here is a must if you're ever in Sabah.
From the sea to the sky, Sabah gave me a little bit of everything — and left me wanting more.
