Merchant’s Lane in KL felt like a little escape from the busy city. Hidden behind a plain teal door on Jalan Petaling, the moment I climbed the stairs and walked in, I was greeted by a rustic, plant-filled space with vintage furniture and textured walls—it had that old-town charm with just the right amount of character.

I ordered the Italian Chow Mein with chicken rendang, and the mix of flavours totally worked—comforting, bold, and just different enough to be memorable. I also tried their rose honey milk, which was floral and smooth, not too sweet. The portions were big, perfect for sharing if you’re with friends or family.

The vibe was casual but cozy, and I loved that you could just take your time, enjoy the food, and soak in the atmosphere. It’s one of those cafés you’ll want to return to, not just for the food, but for how it makes you feel—warm, relaxed, and a bit nostalgic.
