I visited Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam near Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown because it was so famous. ☕️🍴 Even though I arrived right at opening time, there was already a long line. I could tell it was popular with both locals and tourists. The restaurant had been renovated to retain the atmosphere of an old-fashioned Hainanese kapitiam, creating a refreshingly retro feel.

I ordered the signature Hainanese toast set, which came with crispy toast generously spread with kaya jam and butter. The sweet and savory combination was perfect, and paired with a soft-boiled egg, I felt like I was truly enjoying an authentic Hainanese breakfast. 🥚🍞 I ordered the **Hainanese Coffee (Hot Kopi**), which was impressive for its rich, full-bodied flavor and complemented the sweet condensed milk for a refreshing finish.

The lunch menu featured a variety of local dishes like nasi lemak, karri laksa, and chicken hor fun. The karri laksa ordered by the table next to me was so flavorful that I knew I had to try it next time. 🍜

The prices are a bit higher than local cafes, but considering its reputation, atmosphere, and quality, it's well worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful, even during their busy schedule, making for a pleasant dining experience.

Overall, I'd say this is a "must-visit place if you want to experience a traditional Hainanese breakfast in Kuala Lumpur." However, there can be a long wait, so I recommend visiting early in the morning. 👍
