Yuantong Temple, Kunming

#TravelChina Yuantong Temple in Kunming is the oldest temple in the city.
With a history of over 1,200 years since the Tang Dynasty, it is a Buddhist temple that combines Thai, Burmese and Tibetan sects.
Inside the temple, it is peaceful and shady. There are cherry trees on the way in. People like to come to pray for good fortune all day long.
The highlight of the temple is the octagonal pavilion located on the edge of the Emerald Pool, which enshrines the Thousand-Handed Guanyin and the Burmese Guanyin.
The sculptures of the temple are also beautiful and outstanding. It is recommended to walk around and see it all.
