Former residence of the Emperor

This is the Imperial Palace where the emperor lived until the Meiji Restoration.
The nearest subway stations are Marutamachi Station or Imadegawa Station, but the grounds of the Imperial Palace itself are quite large, so it's best to decide which station you get off at depending on which one you want to see.
You can enter the Imperial Palace area for free without a reservation after checking your luggage and receiving an admission card.
The magnificent Imperial Palace architecture has been preserved and is worth seeing.
Depending on the time, there are also free group tours guided by staff.
Apart from the Imperial Palace buildings, the park is also large and magnificent. You can also enjoy cherry blossoms in the spring.
