Kyoto's Nishiki Market is a shopping street located between Teramachi Street and Takakura Street. Surprisingly, this market, which is about 400 meters long, has a history of 400 years.
Spend half a day at Kyoto's Nishiki Market, and not only will you be amazed, but you'll also be able to enjoy a feast. Most of the shops sell fresh seafood and other fresh ingredients or processed foods, and many of them are long-established stores, earning it the nickname 'Kyoto's Kitchen.' Visitors can not only enjoy Kyoto's unique food culture but also see rare ingredients that can't be found elsewhere.
A friendly reminder: don't go to Nishiki Market on a full stomach, because you'll want to eat everything you see, so make sure to leave some room for all the delicious food.
