Come to Gion for potstickers, and you'll be thinking about 'Gyoza Hohei.' With the accolades of being one of Japan's top 100 gyoza restaurants and a Michelin recommendation, the lines never seem to shorten. During meal times, expect to wait at least 1.5 hours!
They offer two flavors: chive and ginger. The gyoza skins are thin and crispy, and the juices burst out with every bite, making them incredibly satisfying!
The ginger flavor adds a refreshing touch to the otherwise greasy gyoza, making it less heavy on the palate. A serving of 8 pieces costs ¥600. The chive and pork flavor is more common, but the price is the same. Men can try a plate of each flavor.
However, the seating inside is limited, so it's recommended to register your name early, take a stroll nearby, and then come back to dine. The overall atmosphere is great, and the service remains attentive despite the crowd. It's definitely worth a try.
