Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, famous for its thousand torii gates

Fushimi Inari Taisha, affectionately known as "Oinari-san," is the head shrine of the approximately 30,000 Inari shrines across Japan. ✨
Said to bring blessings of prosperity in business and safety for the home, the shrine is bustling with worshippers throughout the year. ✨

The highlight of Fushimi Inari Taisha is its Senbon Torii. The sight of the rows of vermilion-lacquered torii gates is truly breathtaking. ❣️These gates are said to have originated from the Edo period, when the practice of offering torii gates as a token of gratitude for wishes that "may" be granted or that "have been granted" became widespread. ✨

This is a quintessentially Kyoto spot, and I highly recommend it!
