🥢 Cheese and Raw Honey BeNe Kyoto Kawaramachi Branch
📍 Kyoto, Kawaramachi (1-minute walk from Kawaramachi Station)
This time, we ordered:
- [Cheese Fondue Set Meal] Honey Butter Toast, Raw Honey, and Seasonal Steamed Vegetables (1969 yen)
- Matcha Basque Cheesecake (759 yen)
- Hojicha Basque Cheesecake (759 yen)
- Lemonade (649 yen)
- Lemon Soda (649 yen)
- Raw Honey Tea Free (550 yen)
The Cheese Fondue Set Meal is a satisfying set that includes seven types of side dishes, seasonal steamed vegetables, honey butter toast, raw honey, and even soup.
The rich cheese fondue, fragrant with dashi, becomes irresistibly sweet and savory when you add a touch of raw honey. Dip the toast and warm vegetables generously in the cheese, and drizzle extra honey for a luscious finish 🐝. It was pure bliss☺️.
The steamed vegetables, including broccoli, pumpkin, cabbage, and king oyster mushrooms, were colorful and full of natural sweetness💕. They paired perfectly with the cheese, making it a combination you could enjoy endlessly!
The side dishes featured Kyoto-style elements like raw wheat gluten, shira-ae (mashed tofu salad), and honey chicken, blending traditional and creative flavors beautifully☺️. Among them, the shibazuke potato salad stood out with its fresh and unique taste👏💗.
For dessert, we had Matcha and Hojicha Basque Cheesecakes. The matcha offered a perfect balance of bitterness and creamy cheese, while the hojicha had a robust roasted flavor that was deeply satisfying🙆♀️. You could also drizzle raw honey on these, allowing for a delightful sweetness customization💡.
Since we opted for the tea free option, we enjoyed a leisurely tea time after the meal🥰.
✍️ The interior features seating on both the first and second floors, with rows of table seating. They also offer message plates, making it a great spot for birthdays or celebrations🙆♀️. Conveniently located near the station, this is a wonderful place to enjoy cheese and honey🍯.
